Unifying 140 GHz radar imaging and multi-gigabit data exchange into a single physical-layer radio waveform.
Vehicles currently carry separate radar antennas for range detection and separate V2X transceivers for data exchange. AdvancedV2X unifies both tasks: the transmitted data packet also serves as the radar pulse, measuring distance and velocity of reflecting objects from its backscatter while carrying communications.
